# Hive: the AI operations layer for your business

> Hive connects the tools your team already runs, catches work that is slipping, and helps you act with approvals, workflows and agents that earn autonomy.

Hive is an **AI operations layer** for your whole business. It connects to the tools you already
run — accounting, CRM, email, calendars, support desks, files — watches what is slipping, explains
what it found, and proposes a clear next step. Your team decides what happens. Hive earns more
freedom only after it has a safe track record.

There is nothing to migrate. Hive reads your systems where they are, starts read-only, and every
action it takes leaves a receipt.

## Who Hive is for

Hive is built for small and mid-sized teams that run on a handful of SaaS tools and never have
enough hands: founders, finance and operations leads, client-service teams at accounting and
professional-services firms, sales and customer-success teams. Work in Hive is organised by
department — Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, People, IT & Security — with a
whole-business view for leadership.

## Trust is part of the product

Hive is designed on one principle: **the model proposes; a deterministic engine disposes.**

* **Read-first connections.** Every connected account starts on **Read**. An admin chooses when an
  account may draft or act.
* **Evidence on every signal and action.** You see the source, the reasoning, the confidence and
  the predicted [blast radius](/approvals/autonomy-and-blast-radius) before anything runs.
* **Role-gated approvals.** Higher-risk actions route to people with the authority to approve them.
* **Receipts and undo.** Every action is written to the [audit log](/approvals/audit-log);
  reversible actions can be undone.
* **A kill switch.** Owners and admins can halt every autonomous action and approval

* **Tenant isolation.** Each workspace's data is separated by row-level security in the database,
